Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – Las Vegas Metro Police are investigating the 4th officer-involved shooting so far in 2025.
According to LVMPD, just after 10:30pm on Sunday, officers were in the area of Lone Mountain and Scott Robinson conducting a follow-up investigation of an earlier drive-by shooting in the area when they saw two vehicles which they believed were related to that investigation.
As they began following the vehicles, occupants fired rounds in the direction of officers, striking two LVMPD vehicles. An officer in one of the vehicles returned fire before the suspects fled the area.
As additional officers arrived to assist, both vehicles were located, and the occupants were detained. Two were taken to a nearby hospital, one of whom was reported to be in critical condition.
No officers were injured.
Per LVMPD policy, the identity of the officer involved will be released after 48 hours.
