
Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – One person is under arrest, while a second suspect is being sought, in connection with two unrelated Las Vegas homicides that occurred over the weekend.
The first murder happened on Sunday afternoon at an apartment complex near pebble and Maryland Parkway. Investigators say that two elderly roommates got in a fight, which ended with one of them stabbing the other to death.
81-year-old Juan Garcia-Hernandez was arrested and booked into the Clark County Detention Center on a charge of Open Murder.
Later on Sunday, a shooting broke out at a house party near Starr Avenue and Dean Martin Drive. In that case, Metro says two people got into a fight, with one of them pulling out a gun and shooting the other. The victim died at the scene.
The shooter in the latter case remains at-large, with no description given yet by Metro.
The names of both victims have not been released.
