
Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – Las Vegas Metro Police have arrested four people after a two-year joint federal investigation related to human trafficking and money laundering.
In 2023, detectives from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) with the assistance of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, began a long-term human trafficking investigation which led to the discovery of a transnational money laundering operation through massage parlor brothels.
These brothels would operate as massage businesses but would also conduct illegal criminal activity such as soliciting sex acts from customers. Those businesses included: Midnight Rose Spa, Jones Station Karaoke and Bar, and Young Spa.
Those arrested were identified as three Chinese Nationals and one South Korean National operating these businesses throughout Las Vegas., 35-year-old Hua Xiao, 41-year-old Cheng Cheng Li, and 53-year-old Jianming Li from China and 27-year-old Jisup Hwang from South Korea, were arrested for several felony charges to include:
- Wire Fraud
- Conspiracy to Commit Money Laundering
- Travel/Use of Facilities of Interstate Commerce for Racketeering Enterprise
Hua, Cheng, and Jianming were arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service and booked into the Henderson Detention Center. Jisup was arrested in California by the U.S. Marshals Service and will be booked into a federal detention center in California.
