Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – Las Vegas Metro Police are asking for the public’s help to find the driver of a vehicle that fled the scene after striking and killing a 34-year-old man on Sunday afternoon.

Police say the driver ran the red on Lake Mead at Tonopah (between Simmons and Martin Luther King), and struck the pedestrian in the crosswalk.
The name of the victim has not yet been released.

Investigators say that the pickup was fleeing the scene after being involved in a different crash nearby when the man was struck.

LVMPD released a shot of the truck in question. It’s a black, 1992 GMC Sierra pickup with Nevada license plate number 958Y18.
