Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) - The woman accused of killing her 7-year-old son and leaving his body near Mountain Springs made her first appearance in a Las Vegas court on Wednesday morning.
Samantha Moreno Rodriguez was transferred from Denver on Monday. She was arrested there a week after Liam Husted’s body was found back by hikers on May 28th.
Prosecutors told the court that Rodriguez, who appeared before video conference, admitted to them that she strangled the boy. They stopped short of saying what the woman's motive would have been.
The judge presiding over the hearing denied bail, and Rodriguez was sent back to her cell. Her next court date is set for August 3rd.
