Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – One person was killed in a crash on the westbound 215 Southern Beltway Tuesday morning.

The crash occurred just after 6am on 215W past Valle Verde, and closed the area for roughly three hours while Nevada State Police investigated.
NSP says the operator of a motorcycle was travelling at a high rate of speed when he hit the back of a Jeep and was thrown from the bike. The motorcycle rider was transported to a hospital but died from their injuries. Their name hasn’t yet been released.
The driver of the Jeep wasn’t hurt.
Nevada State Police opened 215W at Valle Verde back up just before 9am.
