The first involved a pedestrian who was struck and killed by a pickup truck at Lake Mead and Las Vegas Blvd. Investigators say the pedestrian was walking against the light when he was hit. The man died at U.M.C.
Later that night, a motorcyclist was killed when the bike he was on slammed into a sedan on Warm Springs just west of I-215. The rider was transported to Sunrise Hospital but died from his injuries.
In both cases, the drivers of the other vehicles that were involved stayed on scene, and neither impairment nor speed is considered a factor.
The names of the people who lost their lives Monday haven’t yet been released
