Police were called to the home around 4am. Once on scene, they encountered a woman and her teenage son suffering from gunshot wounds and were told that the suspect, identified Monday as 42-year-old Israel Molina, was still inside of the residence with their daughter. LVMPD S.W.A.T. was called in and made an emergency entry into the residence.

Molina, and his 12-year-old daughter Sofia, were found inside deceased from gunshot wounds.

The investigation by the LVMPD Homicide Section indicates that the couple had become involved in an altercation which turned violent when Molina attempted to shoot his wife. During the struggle, the teenage son intervened. The woman and son were able to escape the residence with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds and called for help.

Police say Molina then shot his young daughter and took his own life.
