Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) - Las Vegas' economy took a big hit on Wednesday when the National Association of Broadcasters announced that they would be canceling their 2021 convention, scheduled to be in Las Vegas October 9th-13th.
The original convention dates had to be rescheduled because of the coronavirus pandemic. Last year's convention was held virtually.
Recently, the NAB said that only those vaccinated against Covid-19 would be allowed to attend the convention in person.
In a tweet, the NAB said the decision was made "with the best interests of the industry in mind". A virtual option will be explored instead.
NAB says they will be returning to Las Vegas in April of 2022.
