Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – Billion dollar wins are becoming the norm at Nevada casinos, as numbers released Wednesday by the state’s Gaming Control Board show.
To show how business has rebounded since the depths of the COVID-19 pandemic, even though the total win was well over the billion dollar mark, it was down slightly from a year ago.
Still, the $1.29B take in May was up slightly from April’s number.
Clark County casinos were the big winner, of course, with $1.1B taken from players, but that number was still off 1% when compared to May of 2022.
Elsewhere, the Strip take was down 2.1%, with downtown and North Las Vegas both down 6.6% from May of 2022.
