Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – The next phase of the destruction of the old Tropicana/I-15 interchange, better known as “Dropicana”, in now underway.

The project took a bit a break in the time leading up to the Super Bowl, but closures are back with a vengeance.

Beginning Wednesday night at 9, Tropicana will be closed over I-15 (between New York New York and Dean Martin Drive). All the on and off-ramps at Tropicana/15 will be closed, as well. The full closure will remain in effect until the morning of Tuesday, February 20th.

To accommodate the partial bridge demolition of Tropicana, I-15 will be closing in both directions between Flamingo and Russell this weekend. That closure begins at 9pm on Friday, and lasts until 5 Monday morning.

Additional ramp closures for that include:

o Flamingo Rd onramp to southbound I-15

o Harmon Ave ramps at I-15

o Northbound I-15 access to Arena Dr

o Russell Rd onramp to northbound I-15

o I-215 ramps to northbound I-15

o Las Vegas Blvd onramp to northbound I-15
