Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – Three women and dog were found dead in two North Las Vegas apartments on Tuesday, with police shooting and killing the man suspected of committing the murders.
Police were first called to the scene near Las Vegas Boulevard and Civic Center around 3:30 Tuesday afternoon. Once on scene, they encountered a man with a gun. Police gave the man commands to drop the weapon, but they say he continued to advance on them. Two officers then fired rounds that struck and killed the suspect.
When police searched the area, they discovered the women in two separate units, all of whom had been shot. A dog was also found dead at the scene, as well as a young child who wasn’t hurt.
No names have been released yet, including the suspect, the victims, and the North Las Vegas Police officers who shot the suspect.
The incident marked the first officer-involved shooting in North Las Vegas for 2024.
