Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – An off-duty Las Vegas Metro Police Officer was killed in a wrong way crash on I-15 early Thursday.

The crash happened just before 12:30am on 15 North, a few miles past the Valley of Fire exit.

Metro says that 29-year-old Officer Colton Pulsipher was one of two people killed in the crash that had 15 North blocked at Highway 93 for hours.

Officer Pulsipher joined Metro in 2017, and was assigned to the Tourist Safety Division, Traffic Bureau. Metro says he was heading home after his shift when the crash occurred.

Pulsipher leaves behind a wife and three young children.

Metro said an official fundraiser was set up by Behind the Blue, a local non-profit organization that helps the families of fallen and injured officers.
