Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – An officer-involved shooting that left a man dead Friday morning.
The incident happened in Boulder City near 6th Street and Avenue G.
According to Metro, one of their officers, who was off-duty at the time, heard a man and woman fighting outside a neighboring house.
When he went to investigate, Metro says the officer saw a man physically the woman. They say he intervened and got the woman away from the man.
The man who was seen assaulting the woman followed the off-duty officer, despite numerous requests for the man to stop and go back to his house.
Both the off-duty officer and his wife then fired shots, and the man was struck. He died at the scene.
