Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – The North Las Vegas Police Department’s second officer-involved shooting of 2024 ended with one man dead on Saturday night.

Police responded just after 9pm to a multi-car crash at Craig and North 5th. The NLVPD said that the person who caused the crash was armed, and was threatening others around the crash scene who tried to approach his vehicle.

Those threats then expanded to police and fire departments as they arrived to help others who were involved in the crash.

Police say that after numerous requests were made for the driver to get out of his car, he eventual raised his gun toward the officers and the fatal shots were fired.

That’s when the fatal shots were fired. The man was killed at the scene. His identity hasn’t been released.
