
Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – North Las Vegas Police shot and killed a woman they say charged them with a knife on Tuesday afternoon.
It happened in a neighborhood near Gowan and MLK. Police were originally called to the scene about a domestic dispute, and as they were talking to a man, the woman came out of the residence holding a large knife over her head.
Police say that despite numerous commands to drop the knife, the woman failed to comply and was shot.
The woman, who has yet to be identified, died later at U.M.C.
The names of the officers involved will be released within 48 hours. They’re currently on paid administrative leave pending the results of the investigation.
