Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – A busy intersection in Henderson was shut down on Monday morning after a shooting involving Henderson Police left a man dead.

Police were called to a shopping center at Eastern and St. Rose Parkway just before 7am on reports of a man with a gun who was acting suspiciously. When police arrived and confronted the man, he took off on foot.
HPD said that during the course of the chase, the suspect fired at police, who returned fire and wounded the suspect.
The suspect was pronounced dead at a hospital, while the officer who was wounded was said to be in stable condition. The officer’s name was not released.
The intersection of Eastern and St Rose was closed for hours due to the investigation, but reopened around noon.
