Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) - Las Vegas Metro Police shot and killed an armed man in Summerlin on Friday night.
Metro Police were called to a neighborhood near Summerlin Parkway and Anasazi and reports of a neighbor dispute, with one of the neighbors brandishing a gun.
Police surrounded the home and asked for the man to come out. When he did, they say he walked toward officers with the weapon in hand, disobeying officers' commands to drop it. Officers then fired their weapons, striking the suspect. The man was taken to an area hospital, but died from the wounds. His identity has not yet been released.
The names of the officers involved in the shooting will be made public in the coming days.
The incident was the second fatal officer-involved shooting on Friday. Earlier in the day, a road-rage suspect was shot and killed after a chase with Metro Police ended near Charleston and U.S. 95.
