
Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – A couple appeared in a Las Vegas courtroom on Tuesday, accused of intentionally starting eight fires on the Strip, both outside and inside of properties last weekend.
40-year-old Amber Cruz and 21-year-old Daniel Rodriguez blamed each other for starting the fires. They were arrested in the valet area of Caesars Palace on Saturday.
Police say the pair started fires in two trash cans outside of the Flamingo, as well as inside the Flamingo, Horseshoe and Caesars Palace properties. No damage estimates from the fire have been given.
Rodriguez was charged with two counts of arson, two counts of conspiracy to commit arson and one count of burglary of a business. Crow was charged with three counts of arson, two counts of conspiracy to commit arson and two counts of burglary of a business.
In court on Tuesday, the pair were appointed public defenders and sent back to CCDC. A preliminary hearing for the pair is set for May 16th.
