Pair arrested in connection with heat-related death of Reba the bulldog

Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – Las Vegas Metro Police arrested two people over the weekend in the animal cruelty death of an English bulldog named Reba that received coverage worldwide.

Isaac Laushaul and Markeisha Foster were both booked into the Clark County Detention Center on numerous animal cruelty charges.

Back in late July, Reba was found inside of a duct-taped plastic tub that was put next to a dumpster behind a business near Maryland Parkway and Twain. The dog’s cries drew attention and when the dog was discovered she was rushed for emergency care due to the extreme heat. In spite of all the efforts to save her, Reba died the next day.

The case received attention around the world, and a reward fund for information leading to arrests of those involved grew to $50,000.

Leads is the case grew cold until October, when video came out that showed a man and woman in a white sedan placing the tub next to the dumpster.

Metro Police haven’t yet revealed how Laushaul and Foster were taken into custody.
