Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – Vegas continues to be on a roll in 2023 as numbers released Monday by officials at Reid International indicate

More than 4.9 million people went through the airport in March, an increase of over 15% from March of 2022. For the year, more than 13.5 million people have used the airport, up more than 25% from 2022.

Helping March’s numbers were visitors for the NCAA basketball tournament (for which Las Vegas played host for the first time), two nights of Taylor Swift concerts at Allegiant Stadium, and Spring Break, which is always a busy travel time.

Also helping was a continued surge in travelers from overseas, with the airport posting a 64% gain over March of 2022 (and a 98% gain year to year).

Southwest Airlines continues to be the dominant carrier at Reid, followed by Spirit, Frontier, Delta and American.
