
Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – A woman is in critical condition after being shot by Las Vegas Metro Police following a pursuit on Wednesday night.

It began after Metro spotted a stolen car near Sahara and Paradise.
The driver of the car refused to pull over and took off, with police in pursuit.
The chase ended in Henderson when the suspect’s vehicle hit another car at the intersection of Sunset and Stephanie. Police than said a female occupant of the stolen car got out and fled, all while holding a gun. They say she pointed the gun at police, who opened fire.
The occupants of the car that was hit were taken to an area hospital.
Police say that the vehicle they were chasing had been stolen earlier in the day on Wednesday and that it was used in a robbery.
The officers involved in the shooting have all been placed on paid administrative leave, pending the outcome of the investigation into the case.
The intersection of Sunset and Stephanie was closed for hours while police investigated.
