Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) - Summertime is supposed to be ridiculously hot in the desert Southwest, but for some parts of Southern Nevada, it may never be as hot as it's forecast to get this weekend.

The National Weather Service has issued an Excessive Heat Warning for the region, including Las Vegas through Monday night. Highs are expected to hover between the 110-115 degree range, with lows only falling to around 90.

In response to the latest heat wave, Clark County has opened a number of so-called "cooling stations" that people are invited to use, free of charge.

The county will open the cooling stations on Wednesday and keep them open through Monday
