Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – Passenger numbers for April released Wednesday by the Clark County Department of Aviation continue to show an alarming trend.
For the month, just over 4.7 million people came through Reid International Airport, which was a decline of 3.5 percent from April of 2024.
So far, for the first quarter of 2025, overall passenger traffic is down 3.6 percent from 2024’s records.
A boom that had been seen in international travel since the end of the COVID-19 seems to have peaked, with overall numbers there off 3.4% month to month.
Southwest Airlines continues to be the dominant carrier at Reid, followed by Delta, Spirit, United and American.
The decline in passenger traffic at Reid also mirrors a drop in the casino win for April.
According to the Nevada Gaming Control Board, while the statewide casino win was down only .47% from April of 2024, the Strip’s take was off 2.88% compared to one year ago.
