Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – A terrific 2023 continued at Reid International Airport, according to new figures released on Tuesday.

Aviation authorities say that 4.8 million went through the airport in April, an increase of nearly 13% from April of 2022. The 4.8M number was down slightly from March’s figure of 4.93M

As usual, Southwest Airlines remained the dominant carrier, with Spirit Airlines now solidly in 2nd place. Spirit was followed by Frontier, Delta and American.

Once again, the overall numbers were helped by a continued resurgence in international travel, which saw numbers 33% better than April of 2022.

For all of 2023 to this point, overall passenger numbers are up nearly 22% from 2022, with a 75% rise in international travelers.
