Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) - Harry Reid International Airport is introducing new technology that it hopes will help to streamline the whole travel experience by providing estimated TSA checkpoint wait times on Flight Information Display Screens throughout the airport.
The aim of the real-time information is to help travelers make informed decisions as they navigate the pre-security portion of the terminal.
The wait time displays can be found in select locations within Terminal 1, including:
• Near the A/B Checkpoint information booth
• Near the elevators leading to baggage claim
• At the C Annex Checkpoint
• At Ticketing
Officials with Reid International say that the current activation represents an early pilot rollout while the system undergoes live testing and refinement. Following this phase, the program is expected to expand across all flight display screens in Terminal 1 and its parking decks, with Terminal 3 displays, and eventually the website to follow.
