Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – Passenger numbers at Reid International Airport slumped in February, according to new numbers released Thursday by the Clark County Department of Aviation.
The airport welcomed 4.012M passengers through in February, which marked a drop of 7.5% from February of 2024. For the first two months of 2025, passenger numbers are off 3.5% from what was a record-setting 2024.
Helping the February 2024 number was the fact that Las Vegas was the host for Super Bowl 58, but some are taking the drop to indicate that tariffs instituted by President Trump are making international travelers leery of coming to the U.S.
The number of travelers from outside the U.S. saw a drop of around 3% in February from the February 2024 number (though the figure for the first two months of the year is still up almost 8%).
Southwest Airlines continues to be the dominant carrier at Reid, followed by Spirit, Delta, United and American.
