Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – Bail was denied Tuesday for the 22-year-old man charged with the shooting death on an 11-year-old boy in a road rage incident on the 215 Beltway last week.

Tyler Matthew Johns’ attorney asked the judge to set bail at $50,000, with additional conditions that included electronic monitoring

The judge denied that request. Johns’ next court appearance is set for December 4th.

Back on the morning of Friday, November 14th, Johns and another man got into a dispute as both were driving on 215 West near Gibson Road. Police say that Johns grabbed a gun and fired one shot into the second car. That shot struck 11-year-old Brandon Dominguez, who was sitting in the back seat. Dominguez’ stepfather was the driver of that vehicle.

Brandon later died at U.M.C. No one else was hurt.
