Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – Las Vegas Metro Police’s 6th officer-involved shooting of 2025 involved two robberies, a chase, a shootout, a standoff, and – finally – a peaceful resolution.
Metro was looking for the person who was reported to have robbed businesses near Sahara and Fort Apache, then at Lake Mead and Rainbow.
The suspect’s vehicles was searched for by land and air, and when it was spotted, the person fled.
The pursuit ended in a neighborhood near Carey and MLK. Video shows the suspect leaving a U-Haul van exchanging gunfire with police before going into a house. The suspect then barricaded himself inside the home and a standoff was on.
After a couple of hours, the suspect surrendered peacefully. His name hasn’t been released. No police officers were hurt, nor were any injuries reported in the robberies.
