RTC giving free rides to vets, active military, on Veterans’ Day

Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) - To honor veterans and active military service members, the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) will be offering free transit rides on Veterans Day, Friday, Nov. 11, to those who present their military or veteran’s identification card when boarding. All routes will be operating on a regular weekday schedule.

“We thank all the brave men and women who have served our country and Southern Nevada,” said MJ Maynard, RTC CEO. “Our community is made stronger by their courageousness, and we hope to give back what we can on this day.”

Free rides are available on all RTC transit routes on Veterans Day and can be used to attend the annual Veterans Day Parade in downtown Las Vegas. One of the largest Veterans Day parades in the country, it takes place from 10 a.m. to noon along Fourth St. between Gass St. and Stewart Ave.
