Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – In response to a number of violent incidents but on board buses and at the downtown transit center, the Regional Transportation Commission will now employ 300 armed security officers in hopes of making things safer.

The officers will not only be on the buses, but patrolling the transit center, as well.

They come from Inter-Con, the RTC’s new security provider.

The RTC is also saying that rules for riders will also now be more strictly enforced.
