Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – Yet another scam is making the rounds, and the Las Vegas Metro Police Department is warning residents about it.

LVMPD says that they have received complaints about calls that spoof Metro’s non-emergency number, which is (702) 828-3111.

The voice on the line identifies themselves as a Captain (or similar law enforcement position) with an official-sounding title or division. The voice says you were a 'no call, no show' or they're requesting money that you owe, and that there might be threats of arrest if you don't pay up immediately.

Metro recommends that if you get such a call, simply hang up then call Metro at 702-828-3111 and speak to officers directly.
