Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) - Clark County School District Superintendent Dr. Jesus Jara will continue to stay in the position for the next year and a half.
The District's Board of Trustees voted four to three on Thursday night to extend Jara's contract through January of 2023.
He said in a statement on Twitter that he was grateful for the contract extension, and the focused work on opening schools must continue as they navigate the pandemic.
jara has served as CCSD's Superintendent since 2018
