Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) - Drivers in the northern part of the valley will have to navigate around a big road closure on Thursday night, but it's all in the name of progress.
The Nevada Department of Transportation will close both directions of the 215 Northern Beltway between Sky Pointe Drive and Grand Montecito Parkway from 8 p.m. Thursday until 5 a.m. Friday
The temporary closure is needed as part of the $155 million final phase of the Centennial Bowl that began in January. Las Vegas Paving is the general contractor.
Drivers can use Elkhorn to the north and Ann to the south as alternates to the Northern Beltway during the hours of closure.
