Police in North Las Vegas are investigating after they say a man in his 40s shot and killed his son in his home near Aliante Parkway and Camino Eldorado. Not many details have been released, and the identity of the father and son haven't been revealed.

Sunday afternoon, a man was shot and killed at an apartment complex at Sahara and Arville. In that one, police say that a woman had given her son a check to get a money order to pay rent. They say the son didn't return for several hours, and when he did he appeared to be under the influence.

An argument then broke out between the man and other people in the apartment. A second man then pulled out a gun, shot the son and fled the scene.

Metro hasn't released a description of the shooter, but they're encouraging anyone with more information to call them, or use Crime Stoppers if you wish to remain anonymous. That number is 702-385-5555 (or www.crimestoppersofnv.com).
