
Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) - Three people died over the weekend is separate events that included a shooting, two stabbings, and a body found out in the desert.
Metro says a homeowner died and a teenage suspect is in custody after being stabbed by a burglary suspect during a confrontation in the victim's home near Hualapai and Town Center on Friday. Police arrived in response to a 911 call from the victim's wife who said her husband had been stabbed when confronting a burglar in their home. Neither the victim nor the suspect has had their identity released.
Also on the far west side, police are investigating the finding of a body in a desert area at the end of Alta Drive. Construction crews discovered the body, whichhad serious head trauma. Police don’t have much to go on right now
Meanwhile, a woman is in custody for stabbing her boyfriend to death at an apartment complex near Tenaya and Gowan. Officers found the victim outside of the complex. He died at the scene. 34-year-old Corinna Mathews was booked on Open Murder charges. Police say Matthews and the victim were in a relationship.
Finally, four people were shot in a confrontation near Rainbow and U.S. 95 early Sunday, with injuries ranging from minor to life threatening. The names, ages and genders of the victims weren't immediately released. Police haven’t said what prompted the shooting or whether any arrests have been made.
