
Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – A Southwest Airline jet bound for Chicago had to turn around and come back to Las Vegas after encountering a problem shortly after takeoff.
Control tower audio indicated that the plane had blown a tire on takeoff. Flight 1209 safely returned to Reid International and no passengers were hurt.
The plane was moved and inspected by officials after passengers deplaned and were placed on a different aircraft, which arrived in Chicago safely.
