Spirit Airlines flight from McCarran forced to abort takeoff

Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) - A Spirit Airlines flight from Las Vegas to Pittsburgh was forced to abort its takeoff Tuesday night after a couple of the plane's tires blew out.

According to a statement that Spirit provided to ABC News, the takeoff was abortedd out of an abundance of caution due to a potential maintenance issue.

The plane taxied back to the gate and all 186 people on board got off safely. No one was hurt.

The passengers were given hotel rooms and meal vouchers and will be off to Pittsburgh on Wednesday morning.
