Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – A portion of Interstate 15 was closed for several hours Thursday afternoon due to a standoff between police and a robbery suspect.
Police say that it began with a call about a robbery in Moapa. A short time later, a mobile home connected to the robbery was spotted. They were able to get the driver of the mobile home to pull over on 15 South near Lamb.
The suspect, though, refused to comply with officers’ commands and the standoff was on.
15 South was closed between the Northern Beltway and Lamb, while 15 North traffic was being sent off at Craig.
After several hours, the suspect surrendered peacefully and freeway lanes re-opened.
