Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – Valley roads can be a headache even under the most perfect of conditions, which makes what’s coming to one intersection this week a full-on nightmare.

Work on the Charleston-Maryland Parkway Storm Drain project will require a temporary six-day closure to through traffic of the intersection of Charleston and Eastern Avenue starting at 9 p.m. Wednesday until 5 a.m. Monday.
Installation will continue with crews working around the clock until completed. Business access will remain open.
During the work to install reinforced concrete box storm drain in Charleston,
· Northbound Eastern will be detoured to eastbound Charleston;
· Southbound Eastern will be detoured to westbound Charleston;
· Eastbound Charleston will be detoured to southbound Eastern, then eastbound Sahara Avenue; and
· Westbound Charleston will be detoured to Fremont Street and then to southbound Eastern.
The Charleston-Maryland Storm Drain Project roadwork began in October 2021 and is expected to be complete by January 2024.
