Officers were following up on threats that were posted on social media, according to Clark County School District Police.

After campus police found and detained the student, the school was swept for safety’s sake and once no other guns were found, the all clear was given.

The 16 year-old student was taken into custody and booked into Clark County Juvenile Detention Center where he faces a number of charges.

The boy's identity was not revealed because of his age.
