Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – San Diego Police have arrested a man suspected of stabbing a young woman to death at a home near Washington and MLK.

Investigators say the woman in her 20s, who still hasn’t been identified, was discovered dead from stab wounds Tuesday night by her parents when they returned home. The woman had a young daughter in the home at the time of the attack. The girl was found unharmed.
Wednesday afternoon, San Diego PD announced that they had arrested 24–year-old Michael Ricks in the killing. Ricks is the victim’s ex-boyfriend.
Ricks is facing charges of burglary while possessing a deadly weapon, open murder with the use of a deadly weapon, and child abuse or neglect. He’s currently awaiting extradition back to Las Vegas.
