Las Vegas. NV (KXNT) – Bail was set at $500,000 Tuesday for the man charged with stabbing two employees at the Red Rock Resort.
Police say that in the early morning hours of August 3rd, 25-year-old Shayne Sussman can be seen on surveillance video going on the rampage before being restrained – and eventually shot – by casino security. His bail hearing had been postponed while he recovered from his wounds.
Sussman’s lawyer says that the unprovoked attack was the unfortunate result of a night of heavy drinking. Sussman’s blood-alcohol content tested more than three times the legal limit.
Sussman is also charged with trying to sell drugs on casino property.
The Red Rock employees continue to recover. Sussman’s preliminary hearing was set for September 4th.
