Las Vegas, (NV) – Las Vegas Metro Police have arrested a teenage girl and charged her with stabbing three horses at the South Point over the weekend.
The horses were part of the National Barrel Horse Association competition that was taking place at the hotel. The teenage suspect is said to have been one of the competitors.
Metro says that the three horses that were stabbed did not suffer life-threatening injuries, but still had to be removed from the event.
The girl, who hasn’t been publicly identified due to her age, was taken to Clark County Juvenile Hall, where she was booked on 12 counts of willful/malicious kill/maim/torture animal — horse and three felony counts of malicious destruction of private property over $5,000.
