Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – Las Vegas’ Formula 1 race has been over for two months but the inconveniences brought on by road construction and related closures continues as the city gets ready to host Super Bowl LVIII.

It was announced on Wednesday that the temporary bridge that was constructed at Flamingo and Koval would be coming down, with deconstruction set to begin Sunday night at 9.

Starting Sunday night, the entire intersection of Flamingo and Koval will be closed, and will stay closed until the night of Thursday, February 1st.

Flamingo will be closed between Linq Lane and Howard Hughes Parkway, while Koval will be closed between Rochelle and Albert Avenues.

Sidewalks in the area will remain open, and business access at the very busy intersection will be maintained.

The bridge was first constructed in October, allowing people on Flamingo to go over Koval lane without encountering a stop light. The design of the bridge has been met with protests from nearby businesses who say their overall revenue has been greatly hurt.
