Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) - Three Square Food Bank is taking the fight against hunger to the airwaves and internet during Hunger Action Month this September in an effort to help the one in six valley residents who are food insecure.
The 2021 Feeding America Map the Meal Gap study revealed that food insecurity in Southern Nevada remains above pre-pandemic levels. Nearly 364,000 valley residents don’t know where their next meal is coming from, including more than 131,000 children.
“We invite you to join us this Hunger Action Month in raising awareness about the issue of hunger in our community,” said Three Square Food Bank President and CEO Brian Burton. “And, even though COVID-19 rages on exacerbating food insecurity across Southern Nevada, we will not allow the virus to undermine our efforts to safely feed hungry people. There are so many ways to get involved, from volunteering and donating to running your own virtual food drive. Thanks to steadfast community partners like Audacy and Lotus, we are expanding our fight even further – and across radio airwaves – giving Las Vegans more opportunities to help throughout the month of September!”

Southern Nevada residents can support Three Square during Hunger Action Month with the following:
