Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) - Las Vegas Fire & Rescue investigators and Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department coordinated to arrest and charge a woman in connection with an April 24, 2023, fire that has been ruled an arson.

Tarica Brown was arrested at Harry Reid International Airport on Monday after fire investigators received a tip that she was making the trip in from Atlanta.

The April fire occurred at a home near Buffalo and Oakey. No people were injured but a cat was killed. The home was valued at over $2 million.

Fire investigators determined that the blaze was human-caused and had pegged Brown as a suspect, but she had already fled to Florida.

Brown was booked into CCDC and charged with three felonies in connection with the fire, including first-degree arson.
