
Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) - The funeral service for fallen NHP Trooper Micah May will be Friday at Central Christian Church in Henderson, and the procession will be impacting traffic in several areas both before and after the service, with rolling closures in place.
The procession will begin at approximately 9:30 a.m. and leave from Palm Mortuary located at 1325 North Main Street (between Owens and Washington). The procession will get on to 15 South at Washington. Trooper May will be escorted down 15 South from Washington to Spring Mountain Road.
The procession will continue east on Spring Mountain Road to Las Vegas Boulevard, then travel south on the Boulevard down to the 215 Southern Beltway. From there, the convoy will head east on 215 to the US-95 Henderson interchange and take 95 North to Russell Road. Central Christian is on Russell just east of U.S. 95.
A second procession will immediately follow the funeral to Palm Eastern Mortuary & Cemetery on Eastern north of Robindale, where Trooper May will be laid to rest.
That procession will get onto 95 South at Russell, then go west on 215, exiting at Eastern, then north on Eastern to Palm.
Rolling closures will accompany the processions.
May was struck by a carjacker on I-15 South back on July 27th while laying down stop strips near the Neon Gateway exit. He died from his injuries two days later.
