New numbers from Reid Airport show continued drop in visitation numbers

Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – August numbers were released Wednesday for Reid International Airport, and they continue to show a downturn in visitation that’s been a constant theme for Las Vegas in 2025.

According the numbers from the Clark County Department of Aviation, 4.56 million people went through the airport in August, a nearly 6% decline from August of 2024.

So far this year, passenger traffic at Reid International is off 4.5% from 2024.

Southwest Airlines continues to be the dominant carrier at Reid. Spirit Airlines, which typically ranks second, saw another big drop-off, with the passenger count down over 46% from August of 2024. The airline recently filed for bankruptcy protection, and announced that it would be furloughing close to 2,000 flight attendants by the end of the year.
