Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – A trial date has been set for the man charged with shooting and killing a young boy during a road rage incident on the 215 Beltway last November.

Tyler Johns’ trial is set to begin on November 9th.
Johns is facing murder charges for the shooting death of Brandon Dominguez.
Brandon was in the backseat of his stepfather’s car when the stepfather and Johns got into a disagreement while jockeying for position in the westbound lanes of I-215 near Gibson Road back on November 14th.

Bodycam video from police at the scene shows Johns admitting to firing a gun, saying he didn’t know there was a child in the car.

Earlier this week, prosecutors said that they wouldn’t be pursuing the death penalty against Johns, who remains jailed without bail.
